1. Purpose of the service
SoloWel provides financial calculators and simulators (budgeting, compound interest, borrowing capacity, and more) to help you visualize hypothetical scenarios.
The service includes the website (PWA) and the Android app (Google Play).
2. Account
An account (email and one-time code, or Google) is required so Pro can be attached to your identity.
You are responsible for access to your inbox. To delete the account, open Settings in the app, or write to contact@solowel.com.
SoloWel is not directed at children under 13. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
3. No financial advice
SoloWel is not a financial, tax, or legal advisor.
Results are mathematical estimates based on the data you enter. They are not personalized advice or recommendations to buy, invest, or manage money.
Consult a certified professional (financial planner, accountant, notary) before any decision.
4. "As is" use
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted operation.
Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the data you enter and how you interpret the results.
Limitation
SoloWel is not liable for financial losses or direct or indirect damages. Total liability, if any, will not exceed the amount paid for Pro.
5. SoloWel Pro
Some tools and features (report sharing, backup) require Pro. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- Web: payment through Lemon Squeezy (see below).
- Android: Google Play in-app purchase only (no Lemon checkout inside the store app).
A 48-hour Pro trial may be offered once per account. Access codes, if any, apply to the same account.
On Android, Restore purchases asks Google Play for the receipt of a Pro purchase already paid (reinstall, new device, or a purchase that did not attach). It does not restore your financial simulations. On the web, signing in again is enough: Pro is already tied to the account.
Financial data stays on the device: a new device does not automatically import your simulations.
5.1 Web sales terms (Lemon Squeezy)
On the web, SoloWel Pro is purchased through Lemon Squeezy, which generally acts as the merchant of record for payment. The price, applicable taxes, and currency shown are those on the Lemon checkout at the time of purchase.
- Product: a digital Pro license tied to your SoloWel account (access to Pro features), delivered electronically.
- Activation: after successful payment, Pro status is attached to the account used for the purchase (or confirmed when you sign in again). No physical shipment.
- No subscription: one-time payment; no automatic renewal through Lemon for Pro.
- Invoicing and tax: invoice and tax handling follow Lemon Squeezy and its Merchant of Record rules / jurisdiction.
- Refunds: request them from Lemon Squeezy under their refund policy then in force. SoloWel does not process card payments on the web.
- Product support: for Pro access or account linking, email contact@solowel.com from the account address.
By completing Lemon checkout, you also accept Lemon Squeezy’s terms and privacy policy applicable to the transaction.
On Android, the in-app sale is made by Google Play: Google’s rules (payment, tax, refunds) apply on that platform, not Lemon’s.
6. Third-party data (exchange rates)
SoloWel uses a third-party API for indicative exchange rates. That request does not include your email or net-worth amounts.
- Rates may lag the live market.
- Accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Do not use them for real transactions.
7. Privacy
Financial data
Your simulations stay on the device. We cannot access them. No server copy of salaries, budgets, or net worth. No SSN/NAS or bank account numbers.
Account and payment
Email, Pro status, and required purchase data are stored in the cloud (authentication provider, Lemon, Google Play). See the privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use SoloWel lawfully, and not to bypass Pro payment, attack the service, or access other people's accounts.
9. Intellectual property
SoloWel source code, design, logos, and copy are owned by its creator. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
10. Region-specific clauses
🇨🇦 Canada (10 provinces)
Sales taxes (GST/HST/QST) are estimates. Law 25 and PIPEDA: financial data is local; account and payment are in the cloud, with a right to delete the account.
🇺🇸 USA (50 states + DC)
State sales taxes "as is," without a guarantee of local (county/city) accuracy. CCPA: no sale of data. COPPA: not for children under 13.
🇪🇺 Europe (euro area)
VAT and simplified tax for supported countries. Not official filings. GDPR: simulations local; email and Pro in the cloud.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec, Canada. Disputes are submitted to the courts of the district of Montreal.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. Continued use after publication means you accept the new terms. The date at the top of the page controls.
13. Termination
You may stop using SoloWel at any time. To delete your account, use Delete my account in the app Settings (web or Android), or write to us by email. The steps are also described on the delete account page. We may suspend access in case of a serious breach of these terms.
Deleting the account does not automatically erase simulations already on your devices. You must erase them locally (Settings, uninstall, or browser site data).
